1/25 '76 Ford Gran Torino

At the height of the Muscle Car Era, the 1968 Torino was Ford’s replacement for the older Fairlane in the intermediate car market. It was a totally new design, targeted at the younger buyer. After 4 major design changes, the ‘76 Torino was the last year for the car. The engine was a 351 cu in Windsor V-8. The biggest changes to the Torino were those dictated by U.S. Government requirements. These came in the form of cleaner air requirements and improved crash protection, both of which were to have a negative impact on performance. In the final year of production, only 193,096 Torinos were produced by Ford.
